About the Artist
Sladana Savic Sherwood is a Sunshine Coast–based ceramic artist whose work explores storytelling through form, colour and line.
Working primarily with hand-built ceramics, she creates distinctive surfaces through sgraffito, carving and painting. Her imagery is drawn from nature, everyday observations and imagination, bringing together botanical forms, animals and a sense of playfulness.
Her work has been exhibited in Sydney and on the Sunshine Coast, including Leap (Sydney, 2023), Fusion (Sydney, 2024), Brush, Body & Clay (Buderim, 2025), and Here, inspired by nature at the Maroochy Bushland Botanic Garden (2026).
Each piece is made individually by hand, allowing the marks, lines and character of the making process to remain part of the finished work.
